MS - American Bresse
by David Miller
(Hernando, MS, USA)
We have acquired breeding stock of American Bresse (derived from the French Bresse Gauloise). The American Bresse is a fantastic dual purpose heritage breed which can be used for both meat and eggs. Hens begin laying as early as 12-14 weeks. Cockerels and Pullets are ready for harvest of meat at 12 weeks. The French Bresse Gauloise (which these birds are directly derived from) is arguably the finest tasting chicken available on the market and fetches the highest premium prices. These birds may become an accepted show quality breed in the future. We will begin selling (on site local purchases only) of sexed cockerels and pullets at 2-4 weeks of age, straight run chicks at 2-5 days old, and fertilized eggs by October 2018. Pictures to be uploaded soon. We are located in Hernando, MS just south of Memphis, TN. You may contact me for more information by email at ageranger361@yahoo.com
